Two men were killed and a woman was shot in the face in a shooting at a Vacaville apartment complex early this morning, police said. After the shooting, the suspected gunman showed up at police headquarters and was shot by an officer with a Taser gun, Vacaville city spokesman Mark Mazzaferro said. Police headed to the apartment complex, located in the 500 block of William Street, at about 1:50 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired, Mazzaferro said. They found a woman in her early 20s on the street outside the eight-unit complex who had suffered a gunshot wound to the face, Mazzaferro said. Her injuries were not life-threatening, and she was taken to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Inside an apartment at the complex, police found two men, also in their 20s, dead of gunshot wounds, Mazzaferro said. While officers were investigating the deaths, a man with a gun showed up at the Vacaville Police Department about three blocks away. The door to the police station is normally locked, but the man pulled on the door and it opened, Mazzaferro said. “The door didn’t close when the last person left. They were having trouble with the door,” Mazzaferro said. The suspect then broke two windows inside the Police Department lobby and broke another window facing the street by throwing his gun at it, Mazzaferro said. He left the lobby and was confronted outside the building by two police officers, one of whom shot him with a Taser, Mazzaferro said. He was then taken into custody. Police have not yet released the names of the suspect or the victims.
