* Belmont police are looking for two men carrying handgun who knocked on a door on Alameda de Las Pulgas

Police are searching for two men wearing gray clothing who knocked on the door of a home in Belmont this afternoon and brandished a handgun.The incident was reported by a woman who said she responded to a knock at the door of her home in the 900 block of Alameda de Las Pulgas at around 1:15 p.m. and saw two men, one of whom was carrying a silver handgun, Belmont police Capt. Dan DeSmidt said.The suspects made no demands and ran away when the woman mentioned calling the police.Responding officers detained two men near the home but determined they were not involved.The suspect carrying the gun was described as approximately 30 years old, short and heavyset. The second suspect was taller and thin. Both were seen wearing gray clothing, and one wore a gray cap.Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact Belmont police at (650) 595-7400.
