A man was arrested and Alameda County sheriff’s deputies are seeking two others in connection with a robbery and kidnapping at a hotel room in Castro Valley early Sunday morning, a sheriff’s spokesman said today. Shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a kidnapping at the Comfort Suites, located at 2419 Castro Valley Blvd., sheriff’s Sgt. J.D. Nelson said. Deputies arrived and found a room in disarray but no one inside, Nelson said. A man came back to the room a short time later and said a woman who had been in the room with him was abducted, and that he had been robbed and his car was missing, Nelson said. Shortly afterward, California Highway Patrol officers, who were not aware of the reported kidnapping, attempted a traffic stop on an Acura, Nelson said. The driver tried to flee but crashed at Redwood Road and Vegas Avenue, according to Nelson. The woman who had been abducted was in the car and suffered minor injuries in the crash, Nelson said. The driver of the car, Abdul Farighgamar, 29, was arrested, Nelson said. Deputies are also searching for Mohammed Shah, 26, and a third man whose identity is unknown, he said. The victim’s car, a 2001 black Monte Carlo, also remains missing, Nelson said.
