The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect that may have raped a woman in Monterey County on Friday, a sheriff’s deputy said in his report.Deputy Joseph Crivello said in a statement that he was sent to a home in Pebble Beach eight minutes after 7 p.m. on Friday to investigate a sexual assault.The victim told Crivello that an unknown Hispanic man in his 30s had broken into her home and raped her, Crivello said.The surrounding neighborhoods were searched extensively by deputies, but the suspect remains at large. The victim, who suffered some bruising to her forehead, was taken to the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula for further evaluation of her injuries, Crivello said.
