The body of a woman was found in San Jose’s Guadalupe Creek early Saturday evening, San Jose police reported. Police responding to a report of a dead body found a woman in her 40s in the creek near Julian Street and Highway 87 at 6:09 p.m., Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said. The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Lopez said. “At this point, there is no evidence of foul play,” Lopez said. Police suspect the woman might be a transient, though the incident is still under investigation.
