* Laurel Parry identified as homicide victim killed in Oakland on Oct. 28

A woman who was killed in Oakland late last month has been identified as Laurel Parry, a police spokesman said today.Police received a call at 5:52 a.m. on Oct. 28 about a woman who appeared to be dead on the street near the intersection of 98th and Medford avenues, Oakland police Officer Jeff Thomason said.Parry, 46, of Oakland, was found by arriving officers and was pronounced dead at the scene.She appears to have died from blunt-force trauma, Thomason said.No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide, and no suspect information was available today, he said.
