A man attacked a 45-year-old Petaluma woman as she was jogging on I Street early this morning, police said. The man came after her with an unknown blunt object in the 1500 block of I Street around 5:45 a.m., Sgt. Steve Nelson said. The woman fought her attacker and escaped to a neighboring yard. She was treated at a hospital for a possible broken arm and facial injuries and was released, Nelson said.
