* Novpal Chudho stabbed to death in Oakland on Myrtle Street

An Emeryville man died after being stabbed in West Oakland on Wednesday afternoon, Oakland police said today. The stabbing was reported at about 1 p.m. in the 1900 block of Myrtle Street.Officers arrived to find the victim, Novpal Chudho Sr., 40, bleeding from stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he later died, police spokesman Officer Jeff Thomason said. It appears Chudho had been robbed, Thomason said.Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the stabbing. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Police Department’s homicide unit at (510) 238-3821.
