* Shaun Balleza identified as man killed in San Francisco Excelsior District on Ney Street

A man killed in a drive-by shooting early this morning in San Francisco’s Excelsior District has been identified as 33-year-old Shaun Balleza, police said. At about 1:10 a.m., two victims were standing outside in the 200 block of Ney Street when a gray four-door Japanese model car drove by, San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said.Two suspects opened fire as the vehicle passed, killing Balleza and injuring another victim, who were transported to a local hospital.The injuries to the unidentified victim are not thought to be life threatening, Esparza said.No suspect information was available.
