* Deaddrian Chapman identified as 16-year-old shot to death near Eastmont Mall in Oakland

The victim of a fatal shooting near the Eastmont Mall in East Oakland has been identified as 16-year-old Deaddrian Chapman of Oakland, according to police spokesman Jeff Thomason. Thomason said the shooting was reported at 10:42 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Ritchie and Hillside streets.Responding officers found Chapman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, he said. Ambulance personnel transported Chapman to Highland Hospital in Oakland, but doctors couldn’t revive him and pronounced him dead at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, according to Thomason.Police today didn’t have any information on the suspects or a motive for the shooting, Thomason said.
