* California High School in San Ramon Evacuated Due to Suspicious Device

California High School in San Ramon was evacuated Monday afternoon after a suspicious device was found in a bathroom, the Police Department said. The device, which was found at 2:57 p.m. at the school’s main building, did not turn out to be an explosive, police said. San Ramon police and fire personnel responded to the school, located at 9870 Broadmoor Drive, and evacuated the building as a precaution. The Walnut Creek Police Department’s bomb squad was called to the scene and determined the device did not pose a threat, San Ramon police said. The incident was still under investigation Monday evening.
