* Carolyn Howard Shot and Killed on West Street in Oakland

A woman was killed and three men were injured in a shooting in Oakland late Friday night, a police spokeswoman said today. Carolyn Howard, 29, died in the shooting, which was reported at 11:57 p.m. Friday in the 5200 block of West Street, Oakland police Officer Holly Joshi said. It appears Howard was not the intended target of the shooting, Joshi said.Three men were also struck by the gunfire. Two of the men were in critical condition and the third was in stable condition as of this morning, according to Oakland police Sgt. Cliff Wong. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, police said.
