* Alameda County Sheriff’s Deputies Asking for Help to Identifying Alleged ATM Fraud Suspect

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in these photos. According to Detective Richard Slofkosky, on Saturday, October 10th, 2010, five cloned visa/debit cards were recovered from the Bank of the West ATM machine in Castro Valley. The the suspect in these photos allegedly used these cards in an attempt to withdraw $500.00 per card. Fortunately, he was unsuccessful in his attempts. They are described as being blank gold cards and silver cards with a strip on the back. The Bank of the West at the Southland Mall and at Washington Manor have also recovered these cloned cards in their machines. Thieves have also struck at various ATM machines throughout California (The San Francisco Bay Area and in Los Angeles and Van Nuys, California).
