* Tieke Robinson wanted in connection to auto and gun thefts in Fairfield

Police are asking the public for help in locating a young man they identified Tuesday as a suspect in recent auto and gun thefts in Fairfield.Tieke Dwayne Robinson, 19, who is believed to be armed, is suspected of stealing a loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun from a local business on Tuesday, Fairfield police said. Robinson is also wanted in connection with the Oct. 5 theft of a van in the city. The van has since been recovered.Police say Robinson, who lives in Fairfield, is known to frequent Park Lane and Grande Circle.An officer spotted Robinson on Tuesday wearing a red plaid shirt, blue jeans and a blue backpack. Robinson fled, and police searched the neighborhood, locking down two schools, H. Glenn Richardson Elementary School and Grange Middle School. The search came up empty.
