Local Child Molester Fugitive Arrested in South America after being recognized on Fugitive Watch!
MILPITAS, CA July 8th, 2002–Fugitive Watch is proud to announce the capture fugitive Sergio Delaroche, 63 yrs old, after a tip from Santiago, Chile to the hit bay area cable television program Fugitive Watch, making him the 470th fugitive to be apprehended. Delaroche was arrested by Chilean police, taken under heavy guard to the airport and turned over to FBI agents. He was officially expelled from Chile and flown to the Miami, Florida. US Customs agents notified the Milpitas Police Department that he was expected to arrive at about 5:30 am, July 9, 2002. Delaroche is being sought on a $250,000 felony warrant charging him with Child Molest.
In May 2002, a Chilean citizen checking the Fugitive Watch Internet Web Site recognized Delaroche. The citizen made numerous attempts to have the Chilean police investigate Delaroche and reports of a possible pedophile ring operating in Chile. According to Chilean news reports, they were unable to get any Chilean police to act. Milpitas police were also notified and they began an investigation on how to have him arrested and extradited back to Milpitas to face felony child molest allegations. In the mean time, Chilean TV news channel 13 program “Contacto” began an investigative report on Delaroche that exposed a greater South American child pornography ring. The program aired yesterday and immediately prompted the Chilean government to action.
On July 8th 2002, the South American Anti-Child Pornography Organization Casa Alianza notified Fugitive Watch that Delaroche had been arrested and expelled from Chile. Fugitive Watch in turn called the Milpitas Police Department with the good news.
