The Solano County coroner’s office has identified the victim of a homicide in Fairfield Monday night as 29-year-old Jamal Terrell Thornton. Thornton, a Fairfield resident, was shot during a confrontation in a parking lot of Armijo High School at 824 Washington St. around 9 p.m., Fairfield police said. He was pronounced dead at 9:28 p.m., coroner’s Deputy Adrian Garcia said. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. Police said two adults and their associates went to the high school to settle a feud. When the two adults began fighting, someone shot Thornton, Lt. Darrin Moody said. The shooting suspect has not been identified and there were no updates in the investigation as of this morning, Moody said. The suspects fled before police arrived. The fight was not related to the school or a soccer game there earlier Monday, police said.
