Police arrested two residents of a west Santa Rosa home who claimed armed robbers stole their marijuana Monday afternoon.Police responded around 12:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a home invasion robbery at 2315 Valley West Drive.Residents of the house were reportedly running through yards asking neighbors to call 911, police Sgt. Steve Fraga said.The residents told police three Hispanic males, two of them with handguns, bound them with duct tape in their home during the robbery of an unknown number of pounds of marijuana, Fraga said.Police found several packaged pounds of marijuana and loose marijuana inside the residence, Fraga said. There was a large-scale marijuana growing, processing and packaging operation with several more pounds of loose and partially packaged marijuana in the backyard, Fraga said.Police also found a roll of duct tape, and duct tape that appeared to have been removed from the robbery victims, in the kitchen area, Fraga said.Several children who lived at the residence were seen in the front yard, Fraga said.Two of the residents, Gerardo Perez Ruiz, 24, and Alondra Alcazar Medonza, 22, were arrested for possession of marijuana for sales and illegal cultivation of marijuana for sales, Fraga said. The three robbery suspects are approximately 20, 30 and 40 years old and between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall. The two younger men were armed with black, semi-automatic handguns, Fraga said.The Sonoma County Alliance has offered a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects and the robbery is still under investigation, police said.
