A young man was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of attempted rape of a woman near a park in San Mateo, police said.Jose Elmer Campos-Perez, 20, of San Mateo, allegedly grabbed a 32-year-old woman near Los Prados Park at about 11 a.m. Thursday, police said. The woman thought Campos-Perez was going to abduct her because of how he grabbed her, police said. Responding officers quickly located the suspect in a neighborhood near Los Prados Park and arrested him. He was booked in San Mateo County Jail for assault with intent to commit rape, police said.The woman was not reported raped or seriously injured as a result of the incident.
