A man was arrested Friday night after allegedly pointing a gun at people in downtown Vacaville and striking one of the victims with the handgun, the Vacaville Police Department reported. Officers were sent to 1 Town Center Way in eastern Vacaville at about 10:20 p.m. Friday when several people called 911 to report a man loitering in the area with a gun, police said. Several victims said the man, who was identified as 30-year-old Vacaville resident Shenandoah Stevens, had pointed a handgun at them, police said. Officers also found one victim who allegedly been struck by Stevens with the handgun, police said. After police had positively identified the suspect, Stevens was arrested at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Brown Street at 11:09 p.m., police said. Stevens was booked into the Solano County jail on charges of brandishing a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and parole violation, police said.
