Four suspects are being sought in connection with an attempted murder that took place in South San Francisco early Saturday morning, police said. The incident began at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday when a dark blue 1980s four-door Volvo nearly struck three people who were walking on the sidewalk at the corner of Linden and California avenues in the northeastern portion of the city, the South San Francisco Police Department reported. The victims yelled at the suspect vehicle to watch out for pedestrians, at which point the car stopped on Linden Avenue and a Hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s got out of the vehicle to confront the pedestrians, police said. The suspect allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at one of the victims, who moved his head before the suspect fired one shot, grazing the victim’s temple, police said. The victim was not severely injured and declined medical attention for the minor head wound, police said. The suspect and three passengers fled in the Volvo heading north on Linden Avenue, police said. The car did not have any distinguishing features and all the windows were not tinted, police said. Police are still actively seeking the suspects and suspect vehicle. The shooter is described at being 5 feet 6 inches tall and between 160 and 170 pounds with a medium skin tone and short black hair, police said. He was last seen wearing all black clothing with a hooded sweatshirt over his head, police said. A second suspect, who got out of the vehicle during the alleged attempted homicide, is also described as a Hispanic male with the same physical description as the primary suspect, police said. There is no description for the other two suspects, who remained in the vehicle during the incident, except that one is a Hispanic man and the other is a Hispanic woman, police said.
