Two people were arrested Thursday on suspicion of selling marijuana from a motel room, Santa Rosa police said. Police went to the Astro Motel at 515 Santa Rosa Ave. around 2:30 p.m. after they noticed people going in and out of the room, Sgt. Rich Celli said. Police contacted four people in the room and determined one was on probation and another was on parole. Police found a loaded semi-automatic pistol and marijuana packaged for sale during a search of the room, Celli said. They determined the room was being used to sell marijuana. Anthony Baca, 30, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales, possession of concentrated cannabis, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of hypodermic syringes and violation of probation for a prior drug possession conviction, Celli said. Lisa Soules, 25, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales, possession of concentrated cannabis, possession of controlled substances and possession of hypodermic syringes, Celli said. Rita Castle, 25, of Santa Rosa, was arrested for a parole violation for having access to a firearm, Celli said.
