A 16-year-old Fairfield High School student was arrested today for possession of a gun and of marijuana for sale on campus, police said.Police said a student told the assistant vice principal at 11:20 a.m. that a student with a gun was selling marijuana on campus, Cpl. Kathryn Sommerdorf said.The assistant vice principal informed the school resource officer, and responding police officers surrounded the student’s classroom, Sommerdorf  said.The school principal asked the student to step outside the classroom, and police then detained the student, Sommerdorf said.Police found a 25-caliber handgun in the student’s pocket and several packages of suspected marijuana in a plastic container in the student’s backpack, Sommerdorf said.The teen was booked into juvenile hall for possessing a gun on school grounds, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, Sommerdorf said.
