* Anthony Regna and Edwin Rennles arrested for alleged burglaries at the Korean Baptist Church, 1056 Pinewood Drive, San Jose



Between August 20, 2010 and September 24, 2010, San Jose Police Department responded to several reported burglaries at the Korean Baptist Church, 1056 Pinewood Drive, San Jose.

Officers Catherine Unger and Christopher Warren located evidence that identified Suspect Edwin Rennles. Sergeant Brian Johst coordinated a surveillance operation on September 24, 2010. During this night, Officer Steven Valentine observed Suspect Rennels and another suspect, later identified as Anthony Regna, break into the church again.

Officers from the patrol division and canine unit established a perimeter around the church and waited for the suspects to exit. The suspects resisted arrest and led the officers on a foot chase, but were apprehended shortly thereafter by canine officers.

Rennels and Regna were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on burglary charges.
