* Wednesday Williams arrested for assault with a wine glass at The Rocks Bar and Lounge at 146 Kentucky St. in Petaluma

Police arrested an Oceanside woman today on suspicion of assaulting another woman with a wine glass at a Petaluma bar early Saturday morning.Wednesday Williams, 21, surrendered to police and was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Petaluma police Sgt. Marty Frye said. Police used witnesses’ statements and a surveillance camera video to identify Williams as the suspect. She was booked into Sonoma County jail for the assault and a violation of her probation, and is being held on $21,000 bail.A jail employee said she posted bail today and will be arraigned in Sonoma County Superior Court on Tuesday morning.Police said a the victim, 22-year-old woman, was standing in line to use the restroom at The Rocks Bar and Lounge at 146 Kentucky St. when Williams cut in front of her at about 12:45 a.m.The women argued, then Williams entered a bathroom stall, police said. When she exited the stall, she allegedly assaulted the victim with a wine glass she was carrying, according to police.The wine glass broke against the victim’s head and Williams kept striking the victim on her face and arm with the broken glass, Frye said. Bar patrons separated the two women.The victim was treated at a hospital for cuts to her left arm and lower lip and facial contusions, Frye said. Williams fled the bar with a 40-year-old man wearing a baseball hat, police said.
