A teenager who was shot dead outside a Pittsburg home Saturday night was apparently a victim of a gang-related ambush by three men, a police spokesman said.Adrian Gonzales, 18, of Pittsburg, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. He was pronounced dead at the scene outside his home on the 800 block of Santa Susana Way, Pittsburg police Lt. Brian Addington said.Addington said prior to the shooting, three men allegedly confronted Gonzales as he was leaving his home. Two of the men had handguns, Addington added.The two men allegedly fired at Gonzales and two of his friends with him, who are ages 18 and 23 and also from Pittsburg, Addington said.The two friends sustained gunshot wounds to their legs and ran inside the house. Gonzales was shot multiple times in the chest.After the shooting, the three suspects left in a black four-door sedan, Addington said. No arrests have been made, but police are following promising leads, he added.All three victims are considered members of a gang,and have prior criminal histories that include burglary and drug offenses, Addington said.The two who sustained leg injuries were treated at John Muir Medical Center and released.
