Police arrested two Vallejo men late Sunday night on suspicion of stealing cash from the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo this month, a police lieutenant said. Both men worked at the theme park, Lt. Abel Tenorio said. Police stopped a green Infiniti for a traffic violation at about 11 p.m. Sunday and found marijuana and items linking two of the three occupants to the robbery, which was carried out at about 11 p.m. on Sept. 5 by two armed and masked men, Tenorio said. The driver, Chezarae Griffith, 19, an employee of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, had a gun in his waistband, Tenorio said. He was arrested for a weapons violation. Police questioned the three occupants at police headquarters and arrested Griffith and 18-year-old Boomerjoe Tuico, who works for a vendor at the theme park, for robbery, Tenorio said. Police searched the two suspects’ residences and found a large amount of cash, items linking them to the robbery and numerous items purchased with some of the money taken during the robbery, Tenorio said. The third occupant of the Infiniti was not part of the robbery, and he was released after questioning, Tenorio said.
