The Alameda Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in the city on Saturday night. Three minutes before midnight, police received a call reporting shots fired in the 700 block of Eagle Avenue near Webster Street in the northern part of the city. Responding officers found a 35-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Despite response from the Alameda Fire Department, the victim died from his wounds. The investigation is ongoing and police have no leads at this time.
