Concord police, working with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, Antioch police and the FBI, served warrants on Jeffrey Mason, 21, at his home in the 5500 block of Maine Drive. When officers contacted Mason, he allegedly fled on foot, but officers caught up to him in the yard of a nearby home and arrested him at about 1:30 p.m.When the chase began, police notified the school district and told them to lock down nearby Highlands Elementary School and Pine Hollow Middle School. It wasn’t immediately clear whether either of the schools were locked down because police caught Mason within minutes and notified the schools right away.Mason was booked into Concord city jail with bail set at $500,000.
