* Jacqueline Casalou Arrested by San Bruno Police for Alleged Chase Bank Robbery

A 50-year-old Menlo Park woman was arrested in connection with an attempted bank robbery in San Bruno on Wednesday morning, according to police. Officers responded to reports of a robbery in progress at the Chase Bank located at 1200 El Camino Real at about 10:40 a.m. Bank employees, who alerted police with a 911 call, told police that the suspect demanded cash and claimed to have explosives. Upon arrival, officers apprehended Jacqueline Casalou, who was placed under arrest without incident.An explosive-sniffing canine was dispatched to the bank by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which assisted in the response. After a search of the bank, authorities determined the explosives claim was an empty threat. The investigation is ongoing, and police urge anyone with information related to the attempted robbery to contact the department at (650) 616-7100.
