* Man Shot and Killed in Visitation Valley in San Francisco

A 37-year-old man was fatally shot in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood Friday evening, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.  Police received a call at about 8:20 p.m. from someone who reported gunshots and a shooting victim in the first block of Brookdale Avenue, at the Sunnydale housing projects. Officers responded and found the victim outside, Esparza said. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died. Police have not made any arrests in the case and have not determined the motive for the shooting.
