* San Jose women shot to death on Morris Court

A woman in her 20s was shot and killed tonight in west San Jose, a police spokesman said.Police received reports at 9:06 p.m. of a disturbance involving weapons in the 1000 block of Morris Court, Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.The callers said they heard a woman screaming for help and then a pop-pop sound, Lopez said. He said responding officers found the woman suffering from gunshot wounds and pronounced her dead at the scene.
It was not immediately clear if the woman lived there, Lopez said.The shooting was still under investigation tonight, and no arrests had been made as of about 10 p.m., he said. The woman was the city’s 16th homicide victim of the year.
