Police arrested a man Monday on suspicion of shooting at someone in a dispute over a parking space at a Fairfield apartment complex. Tom Allen, 58, confronted the victim, a 40-year-old Fairfield resident, when he took a parking space at the complex in the 900 block of Broadway at about 3:40 p.m., Lt. Al Bagos said. There is no assigned parking at the complex, but Allen told the
man to move his car because he had taken his spot, Bagos said. The two men argued and Allen allegedly went to his apartment,
returned with a revolver and fired at the man three times, Bagos said. The first shot was fired from six feet away as the victim ran off, Bagos said. Allen allegedly fired two more times, missing the victim but striking a pickup and the victim’s car, Bagos said. The victim called police and Allen was arrested as he sat outside his apartment. Police recovered a revolver that had been stolen in Oakland in
1989, Bagos said. Allen was booked into Solano County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of stolen property, Bagos said.
