Police have identified a woman who is suspected of fatally stabbing a man Thursday night in Oakland near the Berkeley border, a police spokeswoman said today. At about 9:30 p.m., police responded to a call of a victim down in the 1100 block of Ocean Avenue, near Alcatraz and San Pablo avenues, Oakland police Officer Holly Joshi said.Officers found a 54-year-old Oakland man with stabbing wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his wounds.Tamara Warren, 39, of Oakland, is wanted in connection with the homicide, Joshi said. She is described as a heavyset black woman standing 5 feet 2 inches, weighing approximately 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The Alameda County coroner’s bureau has identified the victim, but has not released his name due to the pending police investigation.
