* San Leandro Police Seeking Lee Earnest Walker for Allegedly Stabbing Woman at Chevy’s Restaurant in San Leandro

San Leandro police are searching for a 39-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend at a Chevy’s Restaurant in the city earlier this week.  At about 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Lee Earnest Walker stabbed the victim at the restaurant, located at 15555 E. 14th St., according to police. The woman’s wounds were serious, but she is expected to survive, police said. San Leandro police detectives and Fremont police officers tried to arrest Walker at his job in Fremont, but he fled when he saw the police, officials said. He is currently still at large. Walker was last seen at the South Hayward BART station, and possibly boarded a BART train. Several trains were searched, but he was not found, police said. Walker is a black man who is 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 260 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt and pants, and he resides in Richmond, according to police. Walker should be considered armed and dangerous.
