Rickie Diamond Sr. calls the police to report a domestic dispute with his son Rickie Jr.. While officers are responding, he reports the Rickie Jr was leaving with a shotgun. Responding officers spot him and try to stop him. A chase ensues and Marysville police officers, Union County Sheriff’s deputies and Ohio state troopers chase Rickie Diamond Jr. for about about 15 minutes. The chase ends with Rickie Jr. exiting his pickup truck with a shotgun and shooting at the officers. Six officers return fire and kill Rickie Jr.
