An elderly San Francisco man who was reported missing after disappearing from his Mission District home last month has been found safe, police said today. Roger Lopez, 74, was found Tuesday evening at a shelter in the 500 block of Fifth Street, police Officer Albie Esparza said. Police had been concerned about Lopez, who suffers from dementia, uses a walker and only speaks Spanish. He had last been seen leaving his home the morning of July 26. Lopez has been returned home, Esparza said.
