A man who police say has a significant criminal history was arrested this afternoon for exposing himself to a woman in the underground parking lot of a Barnes and Noble bookstore, according to Walnut Creek police. At around `1:45 p.m., police received reports that a woman was confronted by a man in the parking garage of the Barnes and Noble bookstore at 1149 South Main Street.   The suspect allegedly followed the woman from her car to a stairwell where he exposed himself to her. She then fled the area and called the police. As officers arrived, the victim saw the suspect on Main Street near Mt. Diablo Boulevard and officers chased the suspect on foot to a parking garage at Duncan and Broadway streets, according to police. The suspect was taken into custody by officers and a police K-9 as he tried to flee down a stairwell. Police reported that the suspect, 27-year-old Muhammad Magbool, of Oakland, was charged with indecent exposure, resisting arrest and providing false information to officers. Magbool also had a parole violation warrant for his arrest. He was transported to Martinez County Jail, and is being held there without bail.
