Sheriff’s deputies are still trying to identify a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint in the Monterey County community of Aromas last week. At about 10 p.m. on July 18, a man brandishing a gun entered the 76 gas station at 2961 San Juan Road, just off of U.S. Highway 101, and made off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. This is the second time in a 10-day period that the same gas station was robbed. On July 8, a woman claiming she was armed stole cash and fled. The male suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. Deputies were unable to locate the man despite an exhaustive search of the area.
