* Marcus Isiah Mosley Jr. shot to death in Berkeley in the 2800 block of Milvia Street reward offered

Police in Berkeley are stepping up efforts to gather information related to the Friday afternoon shooting death of Berkeley resident Marcus Isiah Mosley Jr. by offering a $17,000 reward.The City of Berkeley will post a $15,000 reward – with an additional $2,000 reward contributed by Bay Area Crimes Stoppers – for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for slaying Mosley, police said.Officers responding to several 911 calls reporting gunshots in the 2800 block of Milvia Street shortly after 5 p.m. found Mosley, 29, slumped over the steering wheel of a car.Although paramedics removed him from the vehicle and attempted to save his life, Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene.Thus far, police have not made any arrests or confirmed a possible motive in the case, but investigators said they do not believe that this was a random shooting.
