* Ruben Prado and two 16 year olds arrested after alleged robbery in Salinas

Police booked three suspects after they robbed one victim at knife point on Friday night, according to the Salinas Police Department. Shortly after 10:30 p.m., two 16-year-olds and 18-year-old Ruben Prado approached a 17-year-old male talking on his cell phone on the 600 block of East Alisal Street, according to police. One of the 16 year olds allegedly pulled a knife on the victim, stole his cell phone, and then all three suspects fled on foot. The victim contacted police, who located the three suspects within two blocks of the crime scene. The suspects tried to dispose of knife and phone, and Prado threatened officers during the booking process, according to police. All three had ties to local street gangs and were booked for robbery, participating in a gang crime, and conspiracy. Prado was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and threatening police officers.
