Novato police arrested two teens today on suspicion of burglary and vandalism at San Marin High School over the weekend.John Phillip Ressler, 18, of Novato, was arrested just after noon at 657 Trumbull Ave. in Novato for felony burglary and misdemeanor malicious vandalism, according to the Marin County jail booking log. He is being held on $50,000 bail.A 17-year-old male was booked into juvenile hall, police said.Police said the teens allegedly spray painted hate crime symbols and words and other markings as a practical joke.The damage during two separate incidents occurred between Friday and Monday, police said. The suspects also allegedly broke windows and destroyed equipment. Damage at the school, located at 15 San Marin Drive, was estimated at $6,000.
