* Woman Robs 76 Gas Station in Aromas

Sheriff’s deputies are trying to identify a woman who robbed a gas station in the rural Monterey County community of Aromas Thursday evening. At around 7:10 p.m., a woman entered a 76 gas station at 2961 San Juan Road and handed the station clerk a note claiming she was armed and demanding money, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. The clerk complied and the suspect, described only as a woman between 18 and 20 years old, left the station with an undisclosed amount of cash.
