Two men were arrested for allegedly robbing a medical marijuana dispensary in Vallejo Friday morning, a police lieutenant said.Rashad Gaines, 20, of Vallejo, and Larry Bowie, 21, who splits time between residences in Richmond and Vallejo, were suspected of robbing the Greenwell Cooperative at 718 Marin St. At about 10:10 a.m., two men armed with guns entered the business, brandished weapons and demanded money and marijuana, police Lt. Jim O’Connell said. At some point during the robbery, the suspects became aware that police had been called, and they fled from the store, O’Connell said. Police Cpl. Stanley Eng spotted one of the men, pursued him and arrested him a few blocks away in an alley near Sonoma Boulevard and Carolina Street, according to O’Connell. The suspect’s handgun was recovered in some nearby bushes, he said. The second suspect was located shortly after. He was found hiding in a car, and his firearm was also recovered nearby, O’Connell said. Gaines and Bowie were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and other weapon offenses, according to O’Connell.
