* Concord Police looking for second suspect in June 22 shooting

Concord police are asking for the public’s help in finding a second suspect in a drive-by shooting that happened in June, a police lieutenant said today.The shooting was reported June 22 in the 1700 block of Greer Avenue. Nobody was hurt, but a house was struck, Lt. Jim Lardieri said.Police continued to investigate the case, and on Thursday, they spotted one of the two suspects at about 10 p.m. driving on Laurel Drive in eastern Concord.Once officers stopped the suspect and he fled on foot, jumping fences and running through several backyards, Lardieri said.Police searched the area with help from a helicopter from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s office and located the suspect, Boise Duggan, a 21-year-old Concord resident, hiding in a nearby backyard, Lardieri said.He was arrested in connection with the shooting and on suspicion of violating his parole.Police today were still looking for Duggan’s alleged accomplice, Herbert Williams, a 25-year-old transient. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Concord police at (925) 671-3333.
