* 4 Men Rob Jewelry Merchants at Gas Station on Produce Avenue in South San Francisco

Two jewelry merchants were robbed at a South San Francisco gas station last week, according to the Police Department. The merchants had stopped at a gas station in the 100 block of  Produce Avenue prior to getting on U.S. Highway 101 at about 6:50 p.m. Thursday when a silver 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan pulled into the gas station behind them, police said. Four suspects got out of the van and approached the jewelry merchants’ vehicle. One suspect pointed a sharp object at one of the merchants while another suspect took two briefcases from the merchants’  vehicle, according to police. The suspects then fled in the van south on Produce Avenue toward southbound Highway 101, police said.
