A 33-year-old man was arrested in Martinez on Thursday in connection with a residential burglary that happened earlier this month,Martinez police said.The burglary happened on June 3 at a home in the 2300 block of Holly View Drive in Martinez.On Thursday, police found evidence that a man named Mandisa Hall had tried to sell one of the stolen items in Concord and a warrant was issued for his arrest.At about 2 p.m. Thursday, police arrested Hall as he was walking near the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center on Alhambra Avenue in Martinez. Detectives questioned Hall about the burglary and he allegedly admitted to trying to sell the item taken in the Holly View Drive burglary.Hall also allegedly admitted to receiving numerous items of stolen property and keeping them in his motel room.With Hall’s permission, police searched the motel room and found
stolen property from several other residential burglaries in Martinez. The property included framed artwork, video cameras, computers and jewelry, police said.Hall was booked into county jail with bail set at $20,000. Detectives plan to present the case to the district attorney’s office on Monday, police said.
