Two men robbed the Umpqua Bank in American Canyon and escaped in a vehicle driven by a third person this morning, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office said.The men entered the bank at 3417 Broadway at 9:30 a.m. and ordered four employees to the ground, sheriff’s Capt. Tracey Stuart said.One suspect pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the tellers while the other jumped over the counter and took cash from a drawer, Stuart said. There were no customers in the bank at the time.The suspects entered a dark-colored sedan with a handicap placard hanging from the rearview mirror, Stuart said.The car was last seen on southbound state Highway 29, Stuart said.Both suspects were black men between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. One suspect had a light skin tone and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on the front, a black bandana over his face, white tennis shoes and black gloves.The second suspect was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a drawstring around the face, blue jeans, black shoes and black gloves.Police included photos of the suspects in a news release, but their faces were not visible.
