Union City police are attempting to identify men that committed two armed robberies at a Wells Fargo ATM. Police could not say whether or not the robberies were related, but confirmed they were similar in nature. The first robbery occurred just before midnight on June 1 at a Wells Fargo Bank ATM on Courthouse Drive at the Union Landing Shopping Center. Two suspects wielding weapons similar to wooden sticks attacked the victim from behind, while the victim was facing the ATM. The victim sustained head injuries from the attack. Police would not disclose whether anything was taken from the victim. The second robbery occurred on June 9, also just before midnight at the same ATM. The victim began using the machine when he heard footsteps approaching behind him. One of two suspects attacked the victim with a baseball bat multiple times causing head injuries. One of the suspects was described as a black man in his mid 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall with long dreadlocks, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jean shorts.
