Jeff Rosen, a Santa Clara County deputy district attorney appears to have narrowly edged out his boss in Tuesday’s race to be the county’s district attorney, according to unofficial election results. Jeff Rosen received 91,837 votes, or 50.6 percent of the total vote, compared to 89,620 votes for incumbent District Attorney Dolores Carr. Rosen joined the district attorney’s office in 1995 and said on his website that he has one of the top conviction rates in the office. Carr was elected in 2006 as the first woman to serve as district attorney for Santa Clara County after working as a Superior Court judge for the previous six years.
