Three North Bay men riding with a pack of Hells Angels in Marin County Sunday were arrested on weapons charges, the California Highway Patrol said.The CHP stopped a 1991 Ford F-150 truck that was emitting black smoke on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near the Central San Rafael off-ramp around 10:10 a.m.The driver, 23-year-old Jason Giannini, of Clearlake Oaks, was driving on a suspended license and the CHP impounded the vehicle. During a vehicle inventory, officers found switch- blade and butterfly knives, brass knuckles, lead-weighted gloves, loaded and expelled ammunition, a 9mm pistol, a baton, counterfeit U.S. currency and less than an ounce of marijuana, the CHP said.Giannini and passenger Fred Heric, 50, of Santa Rosa, were arrested and booked into the Marin County jail for misdemeanor weapons possession charges and a felony charge of possession of a baton and metal knuckles, the CHP said.Giannini also was arrested for a vehicle infraction alleging gross pollution and driving on a suspended license, the CHP said. Both men will also face gang association enhancements, the CHP said.The Marin County Major Crimes Task Force is assisting with the investigation, the CHP said.The CHP also stopped a motorcycle driven by 52-year-old David Cesena of Novato who was riding in a Hells Angels Memorial Ride at 12:35 p.m.Cesena failed to stop at a light at the intersection of the northbound U.S. Highway 101 off-ramp to San Marin Drive/Atherton Avenue, the CHP said.An officer noticed a handle protruding from the handle bar and fork area of the 2003 Harley Davidson and found an ice pick designed to be concealed within the motorcycle, the CHP said.Cesena was booked into the Marin County jail on a felony weapons possession charge and infractions alleging failure to stop at a red light,driving without insurance, improper display of license plates and having an expired registration, the CHP said.
